Raytheon Beats Quarterly Estimates But Offers Mixed 2021 Outlook

U.S. aerospace manufacturer Raytheon Technologies Corp reported better than expected quarterly profit and sales Tuesday but forecast lower than expected 2021 revenue amid a slow global economic environment triggered by disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shares of the company rose as much as 6% in early trading after the company said its free cash flow could almost double to $4.5 billion in 2021.

The company provided a full-year revenue outlook, however, of about $63.4 billion to $65.4 billion which was below analysts’ estimate for revenue of about $67.28 billion.


General Electric Misses on Earnings But Reports Strong Cash Flow and Offers Upbeat Outlook

General Electric Co on Tuesday offered an upbeat outlook for its business this year after reporting a surge in quarterly free cash flow, sending its shares soaring in early trade.

The Boston-based industrial conglomerate predicted a free cash flow of $2.5 billion to $4.5 billion this year after generating cash flow of $4.4 billion in the fourth quarter.

That compares with Refinitiv’s average analyst estimate of $3.03 billion for 2021 and about $2.6 billion for the latest quarter.


Delta CEO Bastain Expects Positive Cash Flow by Spring

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian said in a memo on Friday that he continues to expect that the company will achieve positive cash flow by the spring.

In his new year note to employees, Bastian said that company will likely “experience two distinct phases during the next 12 months.” The first phase will be similar to 2020, he said.

“The second phase will begin only when we reach a turning point with widely available vaccinations that spur a significant return to travel, particularly business travel.”


BMW Reports Higher-Than-Expected Free Cash Flow in Q3 of $3.61 Billion

BMW on Monday said rebounding markets helped the German carmaker to deliver higher-than-expected free cash flow in the automotive segment during the third quarter.

Free cash flow amounted to 3.07 billon euros ($3.61 billion) in the third quarter, up from 714 million euros ($840.16 million) in the year-earlier period, the carmaker said late on Monday.

“This was due in particular to a faster recovery in several markets, which led to higher sales growth.”


General Electric Sees Positive Free Cash Flow in Second Half 2020

General Electric Co's shares surged on Wednesday after Chief Executive Officer Larry Culp said the industrial conglomerate's free cash flow would turn positive in the second half of this year.
